Founders

Steps and Strides was founded by two special education teachers, Susan Mancini and Caroline George in 2009. Initially working with children in their homes using the principals of ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis). Quickly realizing there was a need for social groups in the community, social circle began. Social circle started out with 4 children once a week and then grew to 3 nights a week with over 25 children attending various groups. In the summer of 2011 Steps and Strides summer camp program began!

Along with running social groups Caroline and Susan taught at a private school for children with learning disabilities. In 2004 Caroline began tutoring students with many learning differences after school in addition to running social groups.

Since September 2020, Caroline has been tutoring full time.
